The insurance, reinsurance, and employee benefits firm Jardine Lloyds Thompson Group (JLT) has shaken up its UK operation with a number of new appointments.

Mark Wood, CEO of the company’s UK employee benefits business, will retire from the role in May. He will be succeeded by Duncan Howorth, currently the CEO of JLT Asia, who will return to London to take up the reins in June, following two years in Singapore. Howorth will retain his role as international chairman of employee benefits.

Joining from Willis is Dominic Samengo-Turner, who will take over Howorth’s role as JLT Asia CEO from 1st May 2015. Warren Downey, currently CEO or JLT Speciality’s regional risk practices and trading division, will become deputy CEO and COO of JLT Asia.

The current COO of JLT Asia, Ian Robinson, will move to Thistle Insurance Services in July.

Dominic Burke, JLT Group CEO, said: “I would like to thank Wood on behalf of the group for the key role he has played in the very strong progress of our UK employee benefits business.”

He added: “These changes mark another important step in JLT’s growth and development, and indicate both the depth of talent within the organisation and our continued ability to attract some of the best people in the industry to join us and help drive our continued growth and momentum.”
